Blogging Carnival

/Blogging Carnival

A blog carnival is, “A Blog Carnival is a list of reader-submitted posts all on one theme. Sometimes a blogger will host the carnival on their own blog each time the carnival runs, other times the carnival will move from blog to blog and be hosted by another person each time.”  When I first started blogging I would participate in these blog carnivals as a way to meet and interact with like minded personal finance bloggers.

Great Posts from Around The Personal Finance Blogging World

It has been a while since I highlighted some great blog posts from around the web.  I love reading and commenting on blogs which is the reason I started my own so you’ll see me commenting on most of these posts: A Guest Post on ChristianPF answering What is a Revocable Living Trust? Financial Samurai asks a very tough question about Obama’s Race Free From Broke Provides some Costs to Consider when Buying a House (beyond your mortgage obviously) A great discussion that happens every year, but as always, Flexo gives a refreshing new look on whether one should receive a refund [...]

The 241st Carnival of Personal Finance

I was excited to be picked to host the 241st Edition of the Carnival of Personal Finance.  There were over 70 submissions to the Carnival this week!  I have read every single one below (to those that didn’t make it I am sorry) and can tell you each one will either teach you something or entertain you in some way. This was the first time I hosted a Carnival and about 85% of the submissions weren’t spammy or horribly written.  Do yourself a favor and read each one!  It might take a while but it is worth it (and I did it [...]

Carnival of Money Stories 2

I like hosting in Carnivals because it forces me to read a ton of usually great posts from authors and bloggers that I don’t usually check out.  Carnival of Money Stories has a great objective, A weekly blog carnival where individuals share their stories/experiences with money So all those great authors and bloggers who submitted posts that have nothing to do with the Carnival’s goals I am sorry for not highlighting your post.  To all those that attempted to gain some link juice by submitting terrible articles that have nothing to do with the subject, then I am not sorry. There were [...]

Carnival of Money Stories 2 #23

I take hosting a Carnival seriously;  I take it seriously because I hate reading other Carnivals that fail to keep the essence of the Carnival by allowing every single entry, regardless of applicability.   The Carnival of Money Stories' mission is simple: A weekly blog carnival where individuals share their stories/experiences with money I have read every single entry and have  edited out all those inapplicable posts - so if you don't see your post, I apologize, but it probably wasn't a story. Editor's Choice for Carnival of Money Stories 2 There were some entries that were outstanding and should be recognized as [...]
