Hi Evan, I had to read after I read the title. Loved all the recent stories about Wooden.... now on to stock analysis. There is almost no empirical research to support technical analysis. The best stock strategy is a sensible asset allocation of stock, bond, and cash assets invested in index funds, and rebalanced annually. You won't beat the market, but over time you will outperform most actively managed funds. Best regards, Barb
ps thanks for visiting my blog this week!!!!!

Cool comparison. John Wooden didn't feel the need to scout opponents either, ignoring "outside noise." All he did was have his players practice to the best of their abilities everyday, working on their own fundamentals and make themselves better.

His pyramid of success is applicable in business too.

Good stuff. I've been getting more into the technical analysis as one of many tools that you should use to evaluate a stock, fund, or the market as a whole. I think there are a mixture of things to look for with technical analysis being something that shouldn't be ignored.
