It was a VERY hot day on June 14, 2008 when I married the love of my life. It amazes me to write this post, but the Wife and I got married 4 years ago today. What amazes me is not the fact that we have lasted 4 years together, but rather how much we have grown since we started dating 12 or so years ago! While I know we still have our whole lives together, when we met there was so much of the unknown. In order: What would happen when The Wife graduated? Where would she live? Could we last when I was still an undergraduate and she was in the real world? Would I get into Law school? Would I finish law school? Would The Wife ever find a job that she liked? Would I pass the bar? Would I find a job? Will she stick around until I could afford a ring? Would I survive wedding planning? Would we survive buying our home at the exact time? Would I make it home from my bachelor party alive lol?!
All that before we were even married! Then we had some joys, some scares, some shitty times, then literally the happiest/scariest moment of my life. I know it is cheesy to say, but I would do it all over again if I woke up back in college one day!
Happy Anniversary!
Happy anniversary!
Thanks Daisy!
congrats man! Looked like a fun wedding – hopefully I’ll be writing this post in 4 years and 1 month!
Woah 1 month till the day huh? Your Wife seems awesome I am sure you will be writing this exact post one day.
Congratulations on four years, Evan!
Thanks Flexo…you’ll have to meet her one day
Congrats on 4 years!
Thanks Michelle
Congratulations! I’m a sucker for dudes who can write these kinds of posts. Here’s to the next four!
I don’t write them too often, although The Wife printed out one of the first ones I wrote about her:

You know, I’m NOT celebrating an anniversary with anyone. I’ve decided to look at the bright side of it:
I can crush on whoever I want without someone getting stupid jealous.
I can live just for me and not worry about what someone else thinks.
I can look messy, not wear makeup and nobody complains.
I don’t have to impress anyone.
I don’t know. If I’d been with the same person since I was 18, I’d just feel suffocated. Don’t you ever feel bad that you missed out on the libertine lifestyle that characterizes a person’s 20s? I would. I like being free.
Sometimes it makes me sad, but I’ve decided to look at the shitty side of being with someone for a change. Makes me feel better.
Whatever gets you through the day, but I am a very happy guy
Whatever gets you through the day.
Congrats! We’ll be celebrating our 3 year in a couple weeks.
That is fantastic and thanks for the twitter shout out. Doing anything good for the anniversary?
Congrats & Happy Anniversary!
We are getting ready for our 10th in a couple of months.
Wow 10 Years. It seems so far away but it probably few, right?
if you have a happy & healthy marriage, time flies by very fast; speaking from experience but i am my seniors would agree with it.

Looked like a fun wedding! Why didn’t you invite the whole PF community LOl!? Congrats. We just spent our 10th on a romantic trip with 3 loud children to Disney world.
I would have but I started the blog about 1.5 months after my wedding. That sounds like a great trip, we are planning Disney for Spring 2013.
For our 10 year I want to do something NUTTY like Fiji or something. We’ll see if it happens.
